Relocating from NYC to London...

Hello! My husband and I are being relocated to London in January. I have never been to London before, but have heard wonderful things about the city. We have lived in NYC for 3 years and love the charming neighborhoods of Greenwich Village, West Village, and the Upper West side. They have great brownstones, cobblestone/tree lined streets, lots of restaurants, shops, parks and bars. They are quaint areas with character and I am looking for the same type of area in London. Any ideas or suggestions for a flat would be appreciated. Thanks!
