pensionado hotel discount

After arguing successfully that the internet quoted rate did not include my pensionado discount
(Clerk insisted my age disclosed on booking form meant I got senior rate).Clerk then applied 30% discount(this was Tuesday).I was tired and long line at check-in so I said nothing further.
Double tree by Hilton@ Bella Vista.Another hotel asked over phone if I were a senior.My affirmative answer prompted a " no rooms available" response.
A benefit that requires fighting for like this doesn't appeal. Suggestions??
