In the summer, Punta Ballena is quite touristy, and it is possible to find a yearly rental property for a two bedroom near the water for around $1,000 USD per month, and a three bedroom for around $1,500 USD per month. The nightlife in Punta Ballena is quite lively, with popular bars such as La Barra and El Chiringuito, and popular restaurants such as La Trattoria and La Casa de los Pescadores, which serve Italian and seafood cuisine respectively. For grocery shopping, there are both big chain stores such as Disco and smaller stores such as La Tienda.
