Colombo

If a friend of yours living in the same country were expecting a baby, what advice would you give her?

1. Make sure to research the best hospitals and doctors in the area to ensure you have the best care for your baby. 2. Consider hiring a doula or midwife to provide additional support during the pregnancy and delivery. 3. Familiarize yourself with the local laws and regulations regarding birth registration and citizenship. 4. Take advantage of the many resources available to expats in Colombo, such as support groups and online forums. 5. Be prepared for cultural differences in the way childbirth is handled in Sri Lanka. 6. Make sure to have a plan in place for postpartum care, including childcare and medical care. 7. Take time to explore the city and get to know the local culture and customs. 8. Have a support system in place to help you adjust to life as a new parent in a foreign country.
