"There are 3 of us, 2 adults and a 14 year old. We currently live in NJ, USA, after having lived in Los Angeles for 8 years. We became NZ residents in October 2023 in the investor visa program. Our tentative plan is to move to NZ in the next year or 2 for an extended visit (approx a year). Our first visit to the country was over the Xmas-New Year's holiday. We visited Auckland and Wellington. We found the people very nice and the country beautiful but were disappointed with the weather during our stay (a lot of clouds and rain). We plan to come back in June to visit some other locations (Tauranga, Napier, Christchurch, Nelson and Queenstown, though we may not get to see all of them) as part of our effort to figure out where we might want to live when we come for an extended visit." - westoonikur
