Hey all. I am troubled by some recent developments in politics. I don't want to live in an environment like this. I'd rather live somewhere quiet and uneventful where I don't have to lose sleep worrying about what might happen tomorrow or my civil liberties or potentially my safety, access to public sector resources like adequate health care, etc. Beyond my feelings of distress, I don't know much of anything relevant to this. No language, no procedure, no "rules of the game", no degree. I'm young and dumb, For all I know, I don't have enough money, imagine I am on the no-fly list, etc. Professionally I wash windows for residences and businesses. If anyone can give me some advice or structure to think about what my options are, preferably someone who gets the gist or has been there, it would be most appreciated

Greetings! I am an American, ex-European, ex-Canadian, retired in the US since 1996. Having lived and worked. in 8 countries and 5 continents through Communism, and through Socialism, my honest advice is that you stop complaining and exaggerating and count your blessings that you are able.to work and live. in the land of the free. In reading your post, it seems to me that you may be anxious due. to some deep, personal reasons, completely unrelated. to Trump. Look: Presidents come and go, Trump is not better or worse than Carter, Bush or Clinton, he just tweets too much. Yes, I agree with you on one thing: the political climate is artificially charged and spinned by the media who is trying to get people excited. The fact is that the media is controlled by powerful interests. But if you are an educated person, as I think you are, you should be able. to see through it and realize that it is all political posturing using smoke screens for the uneducated masses. Honestly, I would worry more about what is happening in Europe with the disintegration of the European Union, and the rising anti-semitism. Yes, Trump says a lot of lies, yes he has a big mouth, but he is really inoffensive and. in my opinion - irrelevant. And just remember: the dog that barks the hardest, does not bait!
