Nassau climate?

Hi,
I am an Irish national considering a move to Nassau to take up a job.
I belive it can be very humid and would like to hear how other expats have gotten on with the heat and humidity? The heat I could cope with as I have lived in spain for 10 years but I`m dont like high humidity. Is it that bad? And does it last the whole year round?
