How to succeed in a job interview in China?

Here are some tips for job interviw in China, hope you can find something useful from it:

When you are invited to an interview, this is your chance to make a good impression. Therefore invest in two interview outfits, because often the human resources manager serves to act as a screen for applicants.

If you pass the interview with the HR manager, the chances are you will be invited again for a second interview, this time with the person you hope to call "Boss"in the near future.

The Chinese will not like you to brag, but they will need convincing to hire a foreigner for the job. Probably the best is to be respectful towards your interview-partner and towards the company.

Try to keep a good and secure posture, lower your eyes and try to speak in a modest tone. Be prepared for long moments of silence during the interview.

During job interviews you often get questions concerning your weaknesses, your educational background, your work experiences and more importantly the reasons of shifting jobs.

After your interview a decision will often be made surprisingly fast. Positive answers should come within a week and negative answers usually do not come at all.
