Hello everyone. My wife and I just moved to Dublin (Sandymount) with our infant son. We would be very interested in meeting other families in or around Dublin. Please feel free to contact me at any time.

Hi, My husband and I plan on moving to Ireland as soon as we figure out how to start a business there. He is an attorney and I am a divorce and business mediator.
Does anyone know the details of how to get visas that will allow us to work? He is ready to do something other than practice law but wants to be able to do consulting work.
Any info would be helpful.
Thanks,
Joy in Atlanta

We have been in Dallas Texas for 2 mo, transplanted from just east of Sacramento CA after 20 yrs. I would love to hear what you think of IReland and how you have gone about finding housing. We love the coast and while it is cold and ugly to most welcome the opportunity to live near there. Matt would be working for Dell in a management capacity if he took the job. How did you find salaries to compare?? Glenda

Hello, Salaries seem to be lower than the U.S. and the cost of living can be steep. We definitely dipped into our savings here. THe houses and rents up where we're living are cheaper than in the SF Bay Area. We're not in Dublin, though.:)
How can anyone think the coast is ugly????? Poor people. We love it here.

Hi there we're from Baltimore, Maryland. How do you like it thus far especially w/relocating w/ an infant? My husband and I are possibly going to be headed to Dublin for 3 years and we too have an infant. We've been to Dublin 2x but only for vacation never to live. How does your wife like the healthcare for your son and for her?
Thanks Kelly - [email protected]

Hi there, My name is Gary and my Fiance and I are seriously considering moving to the Co Dungal area. But I know nothing about what to do or how to research what my options are to leagally live and work there. My finace is from Poland. My plan is to just take the plunge and come to Ireland with enough to live on for a few months up to a year and try to find work during that time. I am an IT director/manager in the states. Any info you could provide me from your experiance in moving to Ireland would be great and much appreciated. Thank you and I hope to hear from you.
