Hi!

im planning to move to Ireland with my husband next year, and i was wondering about the whole visa situation. Somewhere i heard that you dont need a visa if you can prove one of your parents or grandparents were born in Ireland. My grandad was born there, and i'm able to prove it, so does that mean i dont need a visa? Also, what about my husband? thank you for any info you guys might have!

Hi! Not sure about the exact answer...but I think grandparent born in Ireland only applies to applying for Citizenship. As far as working until you apply for citizenship you are still required to obtain a visa so long as you are a citizen of another country. When and where do you plan to move in Ireland? I hope to move in the next year. Good luck!! Please feel free to e-mail me at [email protected]
Maybe we can help each other with the whole relocation thing!!
