Just got my dual citizenship- what now?

Hi everybody,

My name is James, and I am currently living in Scottsdale, Arizona. I JUST received my citizenship documents back from Ireland (6 months before I thought I would), and now am a dual citizen. I am looking at relocating to either the Cork area or Dublin.

Some quick info about me. I am 25, with a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Arizona State University, with concentrations in Mass Communication and Sociology. I have just started up my MBA with emphasis in Global Management. I currently work at the University of Phoenix, in enrollment. Not my dream job by any means, and have really gotten burnt out. I really am not sure what I "want to be when I grow up" and have worked in a few different work fields. I am engaged to be married, and have no kids. Both of my grandparents are of Irish descent, with my grandma emigrating when she was only 6. This is how I was able to obtain my dual citizenship.

I have some questions (I have been researching this stuff A LOT, but I need a dumbed-down explanation!), and I hope some of you can help.

Since I now have dual citizenship, what are my limitations when it comes to jobs? I am still unsure of whether or not I will need to apply for any sort of work permit.

What is the job market like?

How does it work when it comes to my fiancee's work eligibility?

What is the process like when moving over as a dual citizen?

I know some of these questions may sound dumb, and I have a general idea as to the answers, but hearing it from people that have gone through it would be that much more helpful.

Since I now have citizenship, I am sure it will make my move overseas a lot easier. I would appreciate ANY and ALL advice on what steps I need to take.

Feel free to email me at [email protected]

AND THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!
