Did you experience distress after coming back to your home country?

Dear repatriate,
You may be surprised to hear that research has shown that reentry is often more difficult than the expatriate assignment. Therefore it is necessary to understand what makes repatriation so different. With this research I try to explain repatriation distress through cultural identity changes of repatriates. I myself have lived in 8 countries and therefore very well understand the positive and negative sides of returning to one’s home country.
All former expatriates that spent at least one year abroad are kindly requested to participate in this research. As a participant you can help future expatriates prepare for their repatriation by sharing your experiences. If you have lived in multiple countries, please consider your last experience of a year or longer when answering the questions. Filling in the survey should take no longer than 20 minutes of your time. The survey can be found on the following link: http://www.thesistools.com/?qid=91238&ln=eng.
Upon request, you will be provided with information on the results of this study once it is completed. The information that you provide will be treated completely anonymously and no identifying information of any sort will be published.
Your input is very much appreciated.
Kind regards,
