So, um... How do I go about this?
I'm 19, and I want to leave the US to go live and work in another country. I do not hold any degrees past high school, and it is becoming apparent that this particular lack of degree is a serious issue that is in the way of achieving my goals.
Now, originally I didn't care what I was doing, so long as I was in another country, one where they didn't speak English and where I could stay there for years at a time.
Though, while trying to find out how to get a work visa, it occurred to me that I had a few options if I wanted to go abroad. I could become TEFL certified, I could join the Peace Corps, or I could go back to college, perhaps get a scholarship and transfer to another university overseas.
Now, I am not sure how possible each of these are from my current standing. Obviously if only one is possible, it's the route I am taking. So lets for now just assume that they are all viable.
And, getting to the point now, I used to know what I wanted: simply living and working in another country. But that's not the case anymore. College, I viewed it as a worst case scenario -- if all else fails, then I try college. But, I thought about the requirements for permanent visas in Brazil: People who are highly trained in the sciences or other academic fields and have a job offer. That seems to be a reoccurring. And I like that idea. Living in foreign country making scientific progress.
So, what I want to know is the reality of the situation. Specifically with the sciences; as the title says, how do I go about this?
