Moving to Gyor ,HU

Hello fellow expats!
My husband told me last night that we may be moving to Gyor by early spring. Much to my surprise I realize this morning how much I am not prepared for this quick of a transition! After much searching, I found a few expat sites and decided to leave a message to anyone living/have lived in Gyor. My questions are:
Which area is the best area for raising children? North? west? Every city has it's shady area, and I would best like to avoid it if possible.
Finding an apartment/house? Renting or buying? Anyone know a website that can help with this? It doesn't have to be in English, my husband is Hungarian and I understand a bit.
Surrounding villages? Are these good alternatives to live?
The job my husband could be taking is in Komarom. I would like a bigger city, and Gyor seems closer than Budapest. Any thoughts?
Feeling a bit overwhelmed right now, sorry to bombard everyone with many questions. I appreciate any help/advice any one wants to pass on to me.
Thank you for your time!
