Brazil Cartorio

William,

I hope your still there.

Question... I am an American and my fiance is a Brazilian citezen. We both live in Germany.

I am here working for the US Govt
She has a work/live visa here in Germany and a Brazilian passport.

She was married and then divorced here in Germany to a German man. Divorce final 15 years ago.

She is still registered as married in Brazil.

She would like to have new Brazil passport after we marry with my last name on it.

I know she needs to divorce in Cartorio but what I dont know is how easy it is and how much it will cost or even how to find a lawyer to do it in her absense.

BTW, X Husband will be no help with any of this.

Scott
