To Panama or Ecuador or ???
Hey folks,
I'm an unmarried Canadian citizen male, who had worked only in the USA and have my retirement account in he USA, too. I'm now in my middle age and considering to move abroad. If you're familiar with either life in Panama or Ecuador as an expat, I'd like to hear your experiences. I'm debating between these two countries.
Please feel free to share any aspect(S) of your life experience(S) there.
Also, if I wan to visit and stay at these 2 countries for a while to get a feel of the life there, do I need a tourist visa or can I just enter them with my Canadian passport? How long can I stay in each visit?
And is it easy to obtain a permanent Residency from them? I still need to work so this is also important to me.
Do i need an attorney for the visa(s)?
Another question is I've been reading Live and Invest Overseas by Kathleen Peddicord and she seems to be a well-known authority figure on the subject of living abroad (?). And she is currently sellimg her Panama Confrence. She kept telling her readers that Panama is the best living / retiring / investing overseas option now. I'm wondering if any of you has attended her conference / seminar? Since the conference is not cheap and she's been pushing very hard to sell this conference, I don't know if I should sign up. Thank you!
