U.S. Estate Tax for Non-Resident, Foreign Spouse

It has just come to my attention that the U.S. will severly tax my estate before my non-resident, foreign wife receives any of the inheritance.

Is there a way to legally reduce the amount of estate tax which is owed?

Is there a company in Norway which works with U.S. estate taxes?
