People love the sunny weather, the low cost of living, and the wide range of entertainment options. The average cost of living in Nevada is relatively low compared to other states. According to the Council for Community and Economic Research, the cost of living in Nevada is 8.3% lower than the national average. As of 2019, the population of Nevada was estimated to be 3,080,156. The largest cities in Nevada are Las Vegas, Henderson, Reno, North Las Vegas, and Paradise. The cons of living in Nevada include the high cost of housing in some areas, the lack of public transportation, and the hot summers. Additionally, Nevada has a higher than average crime rate.

"Overall, the cost of living in Nevada is relatively affordable. The median rent for a 1 bedroom apartment in Nevada is estimated to be roughly $1,100, while the median rent for a 2 bedroom apartment is estimated to be around $1,230. The cost of dinner at a moderately priced restaurant in Nevada can vary depending on the type of restaurant and the dish you decide to order; however, it is estimated to cost on average around $40 per person," remarked one expat living in Nevada.
