Ask other expats in the area for advice and recommendations on local hospitals, doctors, and midwives. 4. Make sure to have a plan for after the baby is born, such as childcare, transportation, and other support services. 5. Familiarize yourself with the local laws and regulations regarding birth certificates and other paperwork. 6.
