What are healthcare services like in Macao?

Answer this Question

We asked retirees if they have access to good medical care in Macao. They wrote...

"In Macao, quality healthcare services are provided by a mixture of both the private and government-run healthcare facilities. Macao's Department of Health is responsible for developing and operating the public healthcare system, which consists of eight public hospitals, ten primary health care centers, and several specialist outpatient clinics. Macao also has a private healthcare sector, which consists of numerous hospitals, clinics, and medical centers, providing a wide range of services, from general medical care, to dental and specialist services. Macao also has a network of medical hotlines and emergency services, which can be accessed in the event of an emergency. Along with this, Macao has also implemented various public health initiatives, such as vaccination programs and increased awareness campaigns," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Macao, China, China.
