What are healthcare services like in Willikies?

Answer this Question

We asked retirees if they have access to good medical care in Willikies. They wrote...

"Healthcare services in Willikies are generally accessible and affordable. The community is served by a local clinic that provides basic medical services, including general consultations, minor surgeries, and maternal and child health services. For more specialized care, residents often travel to the Mount St. John's Medical Centre, which is the main hospital in the country located in the capital city, St. John's. This hospital offers a wider range of services including surgery, radiology, and emergency care. Despite these facilities, there are still challenges such as a shortage of specialized medical personnel and advanced medical equipment. The government has been making efforts to improve the healthcare system, including partnerships with foreign entities for training and equipment," remarked another expat who made the move to Willikies, Antigua & Barbuda.
