"Healthcare services in Waterford are comprehensive and accessible, with a mix of public and private providers. The city is home to the University Hospital Waterford, which offers a wide range of services including emergency care, maternity services, and specialized treatments. There are also numerous general practitioners, dentists, and pharmacies throughout the city. For mental health services, there are both public and private options, including counselling and psychiatric care. Elderly care is also well catered for, with several nursing homes and home care services available. The Irish healthcare system does have waiting lists for certain treatments, but private healthcare is also available for those who prefer not to wait. Overall, Waterford offers a wide range of healthcare services to meet the needs of its residents," remarked another expat who made the move to Waterford, Ireland.
