"Before retiring in Oslo, expats should be aware of the cost of living, which is higher than in many other countries. They should also be aware of the language barrier, as Norwegian is the official language of the country. Additionally, expats should research the healthcare system in Norway, as it is different from many other countries. It is also important to research the tax system in Norway, as taxes can be high. Finally, expats should research the visa requirements for Norway, as they may need to apply for a residence permit in order to stay in the country," explained one expat living in Oslo, Norway.
