What should I pack when moving to Zlin?

Answer this Question

We asked people living in Zlin to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...

"When moving to Zlinublic, you should pack a variety of clothing to accommodate for the city's four distinct seasons. This includes warm clothing for the winter months, such as heavy coats, scarves, gloves, and hats, as well as lighter clothing for the summer, such as shorts, t-shirts, and sandals. You should also pack a good pair of walking shoes, as Zlin is a walkable city with many pedestrian zones. Don't forget to pack your personal documents, including your passport, visa, and any other necessary identification. If you take any prescription medications, be sure to bring enough to last until you can arrange for a refill in your new city. Pack any electronics you use regularly, such as your laptop, phone, and chargers. You may also want to bring some personal items to make your new place feel like home, such as photos, favorite books, or small keepsakes. If you're planning on cooking, you might want to pack some basic kitchen utensils, as these can be expensive to buy new. Lastly, don't forget to pack toiletries and other personal care items, as these can be more expensive in the Czech Republic compared to other countries," remarked another expat in Zlin, Czechia.
