Expats should also be prepared for the island's tropical climate, which includes a rainy season from September to November. Hurricanes are also a possibility during this period. The official language is English, which makes it easier for English-speaking expats. However, understanding the local culture and customs can help in integrating into the community. The island is small with a population of around 300 people, so it offers a quiet and peaceful lifestyle. However, it can get busy during the tourist season.
