"As a foreigner living in Phuket, you will have access to public healthcare, but it is important to note that it may not be free of charge for non-Thai citizens. Public hospitals in Phuket are generally well-equipped and staffed with qualified medical professionals, but they can be crowded and have longer waiting times compared to private hospitals. The quality of care in public hospitals may vary, and language barriers can be an issue as not all staff may be fluent in English. It is recommended for foreigners to have comprehensive health insurance to cover any medical expenses and to consider using private hospitals for more specialized care or a higher standard of service," said another in Phuket, Thailand.
