As a foreigner living in Bogor, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?

Answer this Question

We asked expats in Bogor if they have access to public healthcare in Bogor. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...

"As a foreigner living in Bogor, you will have access to public healthcare, but the quality and availability of services may vary. Public healthcare facilities in Indonesia are generally not up to the standards of those in Western countries, and they can be overcrowded and understaffed. In Bogor, you may find some public hospitals and clinics, but they may not have the same level of equipment and expertise as private healthcare facilities. It is recommended that foreigners living in Indonesia consider obtaining private health insurance and seeking treatment at private hospitals and clinics, which tend to offer better quality care and more advanced medical services," remarked another expat who made the move to Bogor, Indonesia.
