We asked retirees if they have access to good medical care in Cyprus. They wrote...

"Healthcare services in Cyprus are provided by both public and private institutions. The public healthcare system is funded by the government and provides free or low-cost healthcare to all citizens. Private healthcare is also available and is generally of a higher quality than public healthcare. The country has a wide range of medical facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies. In addition, there are a number of specialized medical centers offering specialized treatments and services. Cyprus also has a number of health insurance companies that provide coverage for medical expenses," said a member in Cyprus.

"Our Medical Care is basicly FREE. The Cypriot Govt introduced as NHS type of cover for all residents who are retired over 60 years of age. I have had two total hips replace and it cost me €16.00 in total. If not over 60 years then a good medical cover will be required to cover the costs. Dr's visit approx €25-35 Consultant visit can be over €100.00++," remarked another expat who made the move to Polis, Cyprus.
