What are the schools in Rwanda like?
When we asked about the schools in Rwanda, they said...
"The expense of this school far outweighs its benefits. The current administrator's competence is questionable to say the least. There have been issues concerning possible mismanagement of funds that have not been adequately addressed. The messenger of bad tidings tends to be targeted when he delivers such news and the board closes ranks instead of addressing serious issues. Additionally, the school is required to accept the children of American service personnel because it receives a large amount of its funding from the US government. Therefore, problem children are difficult to discipline and/or expel. It would be advisable to explore thoroughly the many other options that exist before selecting this school," wrote an expat with kids at International School of Kigali in Kigali.
"The International School of Kigali (ISK) is one of the best international schools in Rwanda. Located in the capital city of Kigali, ISK offers a comprehensive education for students from pre-kindergarten to grade 12. The school follows an international curriculum, with a focus on the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. ISK also offers a range of extracurricular activities, including sports, music, and art. The Kigali International Community School (KICS) is another excellent international school in Rwanda. KICS offers a bilingual education in English and French, with a focus on the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. The school also offers a range of extracurricular activities, including sports, music, and art. The Lycée de Kigali is a bilingual school in Rwanda that offers a French-English education. The school follows the French curriculum, with a focus on the French Baccalaureate (Bac) program. Lycée de Kigali also offers a range of extracurricular activities, including sports, music, and art. The Kigali International Montessori School (KIMS) is a bilingual school in Rwanda that offers a Montessori-based education. The school follows the Montessori curriculum, with a focus on the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. KIMS also offers a range of extracurricular activities, including sports, music, and art," commented one expat when asked about in Rwanda.
