"Ummm... good question to ask... power transformers to charge batteries, electric shavers, etc. and/or a large a transformer for coffee pots, power tools, toasters, etc. For me I packed Lipton Ice Tea and a lot of Tapatio Hot Sauce (Tabasco is available here). Laptop is a must to have. My two U.S. cell phones work here with a new chip from Vodafone phone service. Vodafone offers the best service plans. One other tip... to access our email, Amazon, banking, etc. they all want to send a code to my old U.S. phone number. Very lucky and pleased that my LycaMobile cell phone card from USA works in Romania and I can dial USA for free. Using my USA number here in Transylvania is a life saver," explained one expat living in Romania.
