Are foreigners allowed to own property in Cambodia?
When we asked expats in Cambodia if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...
"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Cambodia. The Cambodian government has implemented a number of laws and regulations that allow foreign nationals to purchase and own property in the country. Foreigners can purchase land and buildings, as well as lease land for up to 50 years. However, they are not allowed to own land outright, and must register their property with the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction. Additionally, foreign nationals must obtain a valid visa and work permit before they can purchase property in Cambodia," commented one expat who made the move to Cambodia.
