Jardín Botánico is a botanical garden in Quito, Ecuador

A tranquil oasis of flora and fauna, Jardín Botánico showcases over 7,000 species of plants from Ecuador's diverse ecosystems. Founded in 1967, the garden is located within the Parque Metropolitano La Carolina. It covers 52 acres and features various thematic sections, such as the Orchid House, the Medicinal Plants Garden, and the Cloud Forest. Jardín Botánico is home to the largest collection of Ecuadorian flora outside of the Amazon rainforest. It also houses several endangered species, like the Andean condor and the spectacled bear. The garden offers educational programs, guided tours, and workshops on conservation and sustainable gardening. It also hosts temporary exhibitions on topics such as climate change and biodiversity. Jardín Botánico is open to the public daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Visitors can enjoy the beauty of the garden while learning about the importance of preserving Ecuador's rich biodiversity.
