Chicago's Carnivale is an annual festive celebration, showcasing the city's diverse culture and heritage

The 14-day event, held in February, transforms the city's historic Union Park into a vibrant spectacle, filled with music, food, and art. Carnivale, a tribute to the Latin American carnival tradition, offers an immersive experience for visitors, with live performances by local and international artists, parades, and numerous family-friendly activities. The festival's food court showcases authentic dishes from various Latin American countries, while the art market offers unique handmade items. First held in 1990, Carnivale has grown to become one of Chicago's most anticipated events, attracting over a million visitors each year. The festival, organized by the non-profit organization Carnivale Foundation, aims to celebrate and preserve Chicago's rich cultural heritage, while raising funds for community programs and arts education.
