Miss Apple Abroad

I'm a traveling teacher and all around sassy lady taking Europe by storm. My blog offers offbeat expat and travel advice from a practical free spirit.

Who Am I?

I'm a traveling teacher and all around sassy lady with a very low tolerance for comfort zones. I'm all about making the most of my time on planet earth. I believe in doing what I love, doing it with gusto and sharing my passion with others. This blog was born in 2014 to chronicle my big leap into expat life with a move from Boston, MA, USA to Zürich, Switzerland. Since then I've made a lot of mistakes and learned a ton that I hope to share with you awesome people. Ditch the mainstream travel and expat advice and come discover weird, wild, wonderful Europe with me!

Not Just Another Travel Blog…

Crazily enough, since I started writing, this blog has become (gasp!) about more than just travel. It has become about connecting with other humans, no matter where on the globe we may be. It has become about saying yes, sailing into those uncharted waters. It has become about how messy, painful and goddamn beautiful life can be. This blog is about big love and living your life with courage even if you aren't quite sure where that courage is taking you. It is that tiny whisper in your ear telling you to go for it… whether for you, "it", is trying a new yoga pose or selling all of your stuff and moving somewhere you've only ever seen on a map. One of the most common things I hear from people about my life abroad is, "I would love to do that, but I could never!" Well, I’m here to tell you that you can do it. Your dreams are not crazy! Real people live their dreams. Let's be those people together.
