What is it like in your country of residence for someone with your relationship status (married/divorced/dating)? If you're single, how do you meet other people? Do English-speaking people tend to gravitate to certain parts of your city?

I live on an Island owned by Colombia but has two very different cultures. Colombian Main Landers and Original Islanders. Life is some what different then on the main land. English and Spanish are the official languages. All Govt. offices are supposed to have both Spanish and English speaking employees.The Island is a typical Caribbean Island. Laid back and slow moving. Living here you get the experience of two very different cultures.

If you have children, what advice would you give to others making a similar transition to your country of residence?

If you are married or in a relationship with a person of another nationality, how has this experience enriched you as a person. What kind of challenges do you face?

I have lived on an Island before and have been married to women of different nationality's in the past. Therefore I am familiar with cultural change and living with people of a different nationality.

What would be the best advice you could give someone with your relationship status that lives in your country of residence? Any other thoughts?

Come and try it. There is no other place for peace and quiet. If you like to fish, dive. swim, and just hang out this is it. We do not have the crime problems like the Mainland. Getting to live here is difficult. I am one of two US born citizens allowed to live here.
