Tourists working in Costa Rica?

Hello I'm from the USA and planning a trip the first of the year to Costa Rica. I've lived and worked in other countries (Chile, Spain) before without any legal working papers and just worked under the table for cash (Tourist Agencies, Restuarants and Teaching English) as a means to make a lil' extra cash while being abroad and have never ran into any problems. I was wondering if Costa Rica would be the same way (A tourist Agency, Hotel, Restaurant or whatever maybe hiring a spanish speaking gringo on for at least part time and get paid cash??)I understand it's almost impossible to get legal working papers and all that. If anyone has any information on how probable it is for foreigners working please let me know. mainly beach towns Nicoya Peninsula. Thanks,,,,,,,,eric
