Preparing to Teach - Fresh Grad

Hi,
I'm a New Yorker who is graduating from New York University this May. Along with a fellow graduate, we plan on moving to Costa Rica to teach English for at least a year. As many have noted, previous posts contradict one another and most posts are from years ago. What is the job market like near San Jose right now, specifically Heredia? Has anyone taken the tefl course offered through www.costaricatefl.com ? Or are there any suggestions for a different course? For those who have recently made this transition, is there any advice you have?
