Need to Leave the USA -- here's why and here's now I hope to do it...

I'm a female, 56 (but actually people seem surprised that I'm this old). I met my 36 year old male partner on the internet a year ago. I know what many of you are thinking --"You have an opportunist on your hands". I really do not think so but I'm willing to take the chance. We have not yet even visited in person due to lack of finances but we see each other regularly by cam. I say partner rather than fiance because it appears we will not be able to marry, at least not with the current laws in the USA. I am living on a pension from a past marriage of approx. $25,000 per year (net). If I remarry, the pension will be taken away from me. Until I have the time to try to fight "city hall" I am preparing my current home for the market. I should make a modest profit from the sale. My partner is from Nepal so I don't want to relocate there. We are considering Costa Rica. I do hope to work to at least supplement the pension. I will probably need to stay in the USA long enough to get a marketable skill, but I'd love to get back into hypnotherapy. Don't know much about Costa Rican visa law, so not sure if my partner will be allowed to work. What I really want to do is own a boardinghouse, rather than a single family home. I definitely will rent ample time before purchasing. I have a long held dream to be a landlord. Any comments on anything I've said or any prospective tenants -- please reply. I am also very concerned about transportation in Costa Rica. Prefer public transportation but only if not too problematic.
