"Your reply was nothing but negative and pessimistic. We don't intend
to take jobs away from locals, and we surely don't believe that the
world doesn't owe us anything. However, I don't feel that I should be
denied the opportunity to move to another county because I'm not
wealthy. Shockingly, I am highly skilled as well as proficient in
Spanish. I know 'you old timers' like to assume that GRINGOS don't
take the opportunity to learn about a culture and its people prior to
travel, however your quick reaction to judge all Americans and label
me only reminds me that not all Costa Ricans are as wonderful as I've
heard stories about.

Your attitude reminds me of the kind of American you take me for:
close minded, racist and bitter.

Maybe you should take this saying to heart more than you do: Pura
verdad para pura vida.

NONSENSE

"Racist" did not even talk about "race"? Where do these weirdos come
from, well Costa Rica seems to be a good place for them. There is not
much culture there anywy, only ecotourism, and Ticos are "friendly"
but rarely become FRIENDS. The Ticos will have their money within a
year, they are going to work illegally while others must bust their
butts getting reidencies like we did up here!!!!!
Don't blame the legal Hispanics who have US Citizenship for being
upset about "amnesty" for illegals
Going to sue the poster and site for defamation if this nonsense keeps
up, I fought for freedom of speech and freedom ain't free.
Some "Gringos" just love to travel to Central America and bark orders, like rabid dogs. The Costa
Ricans put up with you, in general, becuase you have money to invest.
Nicaraguan and South American workers in CR are in general, treated badly, legal or illegal as all they have to offer "Costa Rica" is their cheap labor. Be nice to the maid in your hotl, the girls serving you dinner in Hotel, smile, they probably are not Ticos.
Anybody got any info on laws regarding discrimination against thise with disabilities online?????? I never apoligize to anyone who verbally abuses me over and over. Natives I can forgive, a US Citizen, no, I'll sue you, got all the time in the world, nothing to lose, Easy does it, but do it. To me it is the right thing. Reminds me of teh the glazed eyed US mad missonaries and or far lefties change teh worlders who infect Central America.
On positive side
Here it what a friend in Argentina did:

(If you are over 40 and jobless, discriminated against)
