Hello! I found out last night that one of my coworkers visited Costa Rica about 10 years ago with her husband. She said it was beautiful, but in her opinion, it was rather dirty & there was not much to do unless you wanted to drink. She said they stayed in San Jose. What a shame! I guess I wouldn't like going to CR either if all I did was go to the busy congested city of San Jose! What do you all think? Also, another coworker spent her honeymoon (a short stay!) in CR - she & her new husband had their hotel room burglarized & all their luggage taken, even the things they had locked in the safe provided with their room! They were devastated, & left the country immediately! I do not know if they were in the room at the time. These stories do scare me a bit! A cause for concern. However, another friend of mine went to CR last year & bicycled extensively - he said the country is beyond beautiful! I think the experience one has in CR depends on what your priorities are.
