Hello All! I have been researching CR extensively for quite awhile now, & we hope to visit this year. My question is regarding the Christopher Howard tours. The price is the same whether you visit during the rainy or the expensive season, so I think it makes sense to take his tour during the expensive season. Most meals & transportation are included in the (hefty) fee, as well as housing. What are others' opinions of the Howard tours? The advantage I see is in having someone arrange transportation & getting you around instead of going in without a plan. We are most interested in the Grecia/Atenas/San Ramon area, although I have been recently looking into the Arenal area, as long as we can find a place that is not too hot/rainy, & with no need of heating or air conditioning, as well as medical care in fairly close proximity. Heating & cooling your home is one of the most expensive things here in the States, & we hope to eliminate these, as well as giving up a car & relying on public transportation, or hiring someone to take you somewhere if needed.
