Overwhelmed and need help

New to this so I apologize if I go too long. My family and I (wife and 1 teen) are looking to "test" out living abroad. My work is such that I am off 6 months of the year. We would like to find a location close to the US. (5 hrs +/- flight). We want torent a propertysce we maybe trying out several countries over the next few years. My issue is that I am overwhelmed with trying to wade through all of the info. I would prefer to work with a consultant (if there is such a thing) that could help guide us through the process. We have narrowed down our choices to the following countries: Nicaragua, Panama, Belize, Ecuador and Costa Rica. Does anyone have any ideas or can put me in touch with someone who can help? Thanks
