Passport Renewal

I'm completing a form issued by Travel.State.Gov to renew my passport. I already have an appointment date for going to the U.S. embassy in San Jose. The form asks for a mailing and a permanent address. What should I list as my permanent address?

I no longer own a home or property in California. I have a TX address assigned to me by a company I use to process my mail in the U.S. For important letters, I use a friend/former neighbor's address in CA. I vote and pay taxes in CA. I have a CA drivers license.
