My wife and I have visited Costa Rica a few times and are considering retiring in this beautiful country. One of the issues especially for my wife is the water. When we have visited she ends up with chronic stomach issues. it is a little hard not to drink at least a little of the water, when they put ice in your drinks. They always tell us that visitors aren't used to the volcanic minerals in the water but it is very drinkable for the locals. My question is, how long has it taken most Expats to become accustomed to the drinking water there in Costa Rica?
