WHERE do Expats hang out?

Hey all! We’re finally coming for a (too short) visit to check out expat communities in the Central Valley and on the beach in the Nicoya peninsula. We are planning to drive around and meet as many expats and hear their stories as much as possible, so if all y’all here on the forum can shout out the names of sodas and cafes, bars and restaurants, parks and street corners to find the Norte Americanos, gringos and other English speakers, we’d love to know! can’t wait to hear what you’ve got for us! We’ll be there the last couple weeks of May.
