1) Do they tax my Social Security or Pension check?

2) Do they give you a break on shipping household goods here?

3) If I am under 65 and do not have US medicare or medicaid can I get medical or Dental at a reasonable cost?

4) If I come as a Pensioner can I work?

5) Is it better to keep the bulk of my money in a US bank and just use my debit card?

6) The ocean water is better on which side of Costa Rica?

I am sure these have been answered before so forgive me for repeating questions.

US medicare or medicaid cannot be used here. While waiting for legal residency, which could be a year or more, you will be required to pay 'over the counter' prices and for any medical assistance.

You will be required to pay US taxes.

Regarding US taxes - they need to be filed, but unless you have a big pension, you won't have to pay any. I don't have to.
