Expats! Norte Americanos! Show us your pura vida! Let’s get together and gab about what a wonderful life y’all are living! Jerry and I are finalizing our retirement fact-finding tour itinerary for the Central Valley: we’ve got a driver, we’ll be bivouacked in Escazu and driving to all the temperate locales to see which town wins our very unscientific survey of best place to live. Looks like we’ll be doing breakfast in Grecia with Linda on Tuesday the 21st, but otherwise we have an open calendar. PM us or just post here and we’ll put together a meet-up for anyone to join! Anyone in Tres Rios? Escazu? Sarchi? Atenas? San Rafael? ??? Don’t let your hamlet go unaccounted for!

SBKrista, how did you obtain a driver? We will be there in June and would like to hire one and don't know how to go about it.
Thanks,
Lynn

Lynn - If you are staying near Grecia - I have good driver that speaks good English. I can arrange for you when you come if you want and get quotes where you want to go. Send PM if interested. Met you last trip.

Lynn,
Daniel our driver came highly recommended in one of the many expat-authored books we’ve read. We’ll let you know how it goes, but so far he’s been very responsive to our questions via email and has even offered to drive us from Sámara to Hermosa beach when our other transportation fell through. Reasonable, bilingual, and knows the “best” off the beaten path spots that locals go to, so I’m told. And very reasonable!
