Residency

At least initially, we plan to reside in CR during the winter months (January-March). We would like the option to come back periodically throughout the year for a week to 2 weeks. I have read that the visa requirement is 90 days per year and while it has been a practice for non-residents to simply go over the border for a weekend and come back and the process restarts again, this is no longer the case. Therefore, we are wondering about residency as a viable option that would eliminate this issue. Any advice would be appreciated.
