This is especially for newcomers. Those of you who have not experienced Carnaval, I would highly recommend that you avail yourselves of this opportunity to enjoy the fun and excitement of Carnaval days & mights in Ecuador. It's not Rio or New Orleans( Marde Gras ) but certainly a lot of fun and entertaining and a chance to absorb some of the culture that this wonderful country offers.
Depending on where you live, the activities vary... check out your localnnewspapers or ask someone. Friday ( 13th - btw, not a "bad luck" day down here - Tuesday the 13th is ! ) kicks it off and finishes up on Tuesday night, Feb. 17th.
Be aware that many businesses shut down for Carnaval. So if you have to do anything important, I'd say either do it tomorrow or wait until next Wed.
Deja que los buenos tiempos - Let the good times roll !
