Americans looking to move abroad

Hi,
My husband and I are looking to move out of the country for awhile (for various reasons, one of the biggest being adventure). We've done a little research, but can't really decide on a place. Two of the biggest draws so far have been The Netherlands and Dominica, but we're still open to other places.
Just wondering about some recommendations from those of you who've made the move. I speak a little French, we both speak a little Spanish, and are also more than willing to learn another language. Really the only things that are hugely important to us are somewhat quality emergency care, internet access (my husband will need it for work), and attitudes toward foreigners.
